The stamping process of automobile sheet is one of the important processes in the automobile manufacturing process. Reasonable stamping technology and advanced stamping technology can not only improve the quality of stamping parts, but also obviously reduce the cost and increase efficiency. Multi-station stamping technology can significantly improve production efficiency and reduce production costs, and is one of the main ways to achieve stamping automation and efficiency improvement. Multi-station stamping One technical route is a multi-station progressive die. The distinguishing feature is that the finished stamping part is separated from the strip in the last order, and the spacing between adjacent two steps must be the same, otherwise it cannot be fed. ,As shown in Figure 1.

Multi-station progressive die is used more in the field of home appliance steel molds and larger batches of small stamping parts. Compared with conventional multiple presses, it has obvious production cost and production efficiency advantages. Above 100 times/min, but due to the connection part in the middle, the material utilization rate is lower than that of the single-station mold, and it is necessary to increase the uncoiler and leveling equipment and feeder, which is not suitable for small batch production and precious metal production.
Another technical route is to combine multi-station molds, which are generally used in conjunction with multi-station presses. There is no strip, and the process parts are independent of each other. The distance between adjacent steps is not necessarily equal. It is suitable for medium and large stamping. The workpiece is transported by the horizontal reciprocating rod, and the fastest tempo can reach more than 25 times/min, which can meet the high-speed automatic production. A multi-station press is equivalent to the integration of multiple presses and unloading and feeding systems, generally consisting of a line head unit, a feeding mechanism, a press and a tail section (see Figure 2).

Since our company has not applied multi-station presses at present, the main application is to combine multiple processes into one pair of molds. It can be produced on ordinary presses by means of simple multi-station with manual pick-and-place parts. Reduce mold development costs and press machine usage and production costs (see Figure 3).

Regardless of the technical route adopted, multi-station stamping has higher production efficiency than conventional single-station stamping, and in the mold design, since there is one stamping part per punch, there is no problem of increasing production cost. The process can be relatively dispersed to ensure the quality of the stamped parts. It also saves manpower and plant and semi-product transportation and storage areas.
However, the multi-station stamping die structure is complex, the mold manufacturing precision requirements are high, the cycle is long, the cost is high, the maintenance is difficult, and the initial investment is large, so the multi-station stamping is generally used for mass production. In the process planning of new products, the research and advantages and disadvantages of the stamping parts from the process, tooling, equipment, cost, quality and production efficiency can be compared with the traditional single-machine single-punching system, and then whether or not to adopt and adopt which multiplex Bit stamping.
