Continue to create a leak-free factory activity

Over the years, the chemical industry has carried out extensive and deep-going activities to create a leak-free factory and achieved remarkable results. It has played an important role in promoting the technical quality and management level of chemical equipment, and has had a profound impact both inside and outside the chemical industry. In the early 1990s, the former Ministry of Chemical Industry had announced the cancellation of inspections and nomenclature of chemical leak-free factories to reduce the burden of frequent inspections and assessments. However, some chemical companies mistakenly believe that they can no longer engage in “no leakage”, and have relaxed their equipment management work, resulting in a significant decline in equipment management.

In response to this situation, the former Ministry of Chemical Industry reaffirmed in 1995 that it would continue to establish a non-leakage factory activity and requested the local chemical industry authorities to review the existing leak-free factories. According to the statistics of 19% at the end of the year, 1559 leak-free factories were created in the chemical system, 243 of which were newly established in 196 years. In 1997, in order to implement the spirit of the State Council’s “Emergency Notice on Conducting Well-Inspected Equipment Inspections”, the Association not only actively cooperated with the original equipment management department of the Ministry of Chemical Industry to do a good job of organizing and coordinating work, but also specifically passed the technical cooperation management team on nitrogen fertilizer equipment. The nitrogen fertilizer companies organized mutual investigations and focused on the investigation of the status of compressors and gas stoves.
