Automatic sizing function to clean up your SolidWorks drawings

Among the new additions to SolidWorks software over the past few years, one of my favorite enhancements to engineering drawings is the automatic sizing feature. This feature simply adds a "simple" button near your drawing. Please refer to the drawing below. We found that the dimensions of this drawing are completely marked, but the placement of each size is messy.

In order to solve such problems quickly and easily, in the new version of 2011, SolidWorks introduced a new feature, which is to automatically arrange the size. This feature will automatically arrange the size of your choice for you, as follows:

1. Select all the dimensions in the drawing in a frame selection manner.

2. Next, move the mouse pointer to the flip button in the size palette to bring up the size palette. (In other words, if your mouse is farther away from the size palette flip button, the size palette may disappear. To get it back, just hold the mouse while holding down the CTRL on the keyboard. The key can be.)

3. In the Size palette, click the Auto Arrange button in the lower left corner of the size palette.

4. Finally, click the mouse in any blank space in the drawing graphics area to close the size palette. So easy! The automatically arranged drawing size style is as shown below:

When you use the auto size feature, the selected dimensions are as follows:

 From the minimum spacing to the maximum spacing.

 If possible, the dimensions are automatically aligned and centered.

 You can customize the offset distance of adjacent dimensions in the Document Options tab.

 It can be adjusted manually to avoid overlapping of dimensions.

 If necessary, you can set the size to be staggered

If you're interested in the size palette, there are some other tools in the size palette for you to use when you select multiple sizes and want to make some adjustments to those sizes. They include: spatial dimensions in linear or radial alignment and uniformity, alignment and collinearity, staggered distribution dimensions, adjustment of text and Changchun spacing values (or input values or use of a scroll wheel).

Hurry and enjoy the convenience of the new features!

Optical Glass Flat Mirror

Optical Flats mirrors are ideal for a variety of applications including interferometry, imaging systems, laser applications, optical path folding, and autocollimation. These mirrors are available in a variety of coating and substrate options, along with surface flatness options of λ/10 and λ/20. Fused Silica, is optically clear and features excellent resistance to abrasion and high durability, making it the best choice for applications in harsh environments.

The mirrors are available in circular, square, and rectangular dimensions. Rectangular first surface mirrors are ideal for applications requiring the mirror to be mounted at 45° in order to produce a 90° bend in the light path.

Protected metallic coatings provide a moderate level of reflection over a very broad spectral range and are widely used as mirrors. These coatings are protected by a thin layer of dielectric material in order to make them durable. Enhanced metallic coatings provide greater reflection across the operating band width. These coatings are enhanced by adding a multilayer dielectric stack. Metal coatings will modify the state of polarization of an incident beam of light and are therefore inappropriate for most polarization sensitive applications.
