Analytical electromagnetic clutch

The electromagnetic clutch controls the engagement and disengagement of the clutch by the on and off of the coil. Electromagnetic clutch can be divided into: dry single-plate electromagnetic clutch, dry multi-plate electromagnetic clutch, wet multi-plate electromagnetic clutch, magnetic powder clutch, slip-type electromagnetic clutch and so on. The working mode of the electromagnetic clutch can be further divided into: a combination of energization and power failure.

Currently widely used in automobiles is a spring-loaded friction (referred to as a friction clutch).

The torque generated by the engine is transmitted to the driven plate by the friction between the flywheel and the pressure plate and the contact surface of the driven plate. When the driver steps on the pedal, the transmission of the mechanism causes the large end of the diaphragm spring to drive the pressure plate to move backward, and the driven portion is separated from the active portion.

The magnetic powder clutch friction should meet the following basic requirements:

(1) It is guaranteed to transmit the maximum torque emitted by the engine and also has a certain residual torque.

(2) It can be completely separated when it is separated, softened when joined, and has good heat dissipation capability.

(3) The moment of inertia of the driven part is as small as possible. In this way, when the clutch is shifted, it is connected to the transmission input shaft.

Part of the speed is easier to change, thus reducing the impact between the gears.

(4) It has the ability to mitigate the impact in the direction of rotation and attenuate the vibration in this direction, and the noise is small.

(5) The pressure of the platen pressure and the friction coefficient of the friction plate are small, and the work is stable.

(6) Easy to operate and easy to maintain.
