At 3 o'clock in the afternoon, an emergency call came from the Donghu Oil Storage Operation Room of Shaoxing Petroleum: “A report of the leader on duty, the No. 6 tank canopy suddenly caught fire, and requested immediate initiation of the emergency plan.” Subsequently, the alarm was sounded, repaired, evacuated, rescued, guarded, and fire-fighted. The working group rushed to the scene. Five minutes later, the fire was successfully extinguished and the depot staff were safely evacuated.

It turned out that this was one of the fire drills conducted by Donghu Oil Storage in Shaoxing. The “11.22” accident in Qingdao sounded the alarm for every petrochemical employee, and it was particularly important to improve the emergency response capability of petrochemical employees in responding to a fire incident. In order to respond positively to the company's call for “strict management of the year”, the Shaoxing Donghu depot combined with its own key fire sites to simulate the emergency drill for three oil incidents.

In the first two oil extinguishing stations and oil tanker oil spill fire drills, on-duty oil workers found that they were in danger, immediately stopped their operations, and immediately closed the oil gate valve and cut off the power of the oil generator. After the teams arrived at the scene at the first time, the hair removal class removed the electrostatic grounding clips, and the operation class wore gas masks to detect the concentration of oil and gas, and the members of the mechanics team made emergency repairs. With everyone's concerted efforts, the mission was successfully completed. As the highlight of this fire drill, all members of the tank fired a 12-point spirit. Once the oil depot full-time firefighters heard the warning, they immediately put on their fire suits, quickly entered the “fighting” area, started the fire-fighting foam, and saved the fire tanks, and at the same time protected the neighboring tanks. In the sweltering afternoon, all the players who participated in the drills completed the three contingency plan drills in an outstanding manner according to the prescribed action instructions.

The drills further strengthened the ability of all employees in the oil depot to handle emergencies in oil fire emergencies, improved the coordinated combat capabilities of full-time fire brigades and personnel of all shift groups, and provided favorable guarantees for the safe operation of oil depots.
