Recently, the High-tech Division of the Ministry of Science and Technology organized experts to conduct feasibility demonstrations on the key project of the National Science and Technology Support Plan for the year 2009, “Development and Demonstration of Production Technology for Saving High-silicon Deformed Al-Si Alloysâ€.
The project intends to use the technology of large solidification interface temperature gradient semi-continuous casting and extrusion production, semi-continuous casting of magnesium high-silicon aluminum alloy, extrusion molding, heat treatment of extruded profiles, surface treatment of extruded profiles, and industrialization of extruded profiles. Development of key equipment, system integration of industrial production demonstration lines for extrusion profiles, product development and technical standard formulation.
The demonstration team agreed that the project is based on the national basic raw material innovation strategy and aims to develop a key common technology for the industrialization of high-efficiency, low-cost, low-consumption, energy-saving and environmentally friendly new magnesium-containing, high-silicon deformed aluminum alloys and extruded sections. Concentration, high technology starting point, solid foundation for early work, and good industrialization basis, it is recommended to start implementation as soon as possible.
