It is better to apply nitrogen fertilizer in winter and spring.

When applying nitrogen fertilizer to crops in the winter and spring low temperature season, it is preferable to use ammonium bicarbonate. After the ammonium bicarbonate is applied to the farmland, it can be directly absorbed and utilized by the crop without conversion, and the nitrogen can be supplied in time, and the yield increasing effect is good, and the urea should be left in the hot season.
Tests have shown that when the temperature is 5 degrees Celsius, 10 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius, the conversion of urea takes 15 days, 7-10 days and 4-5 days respectively, and only takes two days when the temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. Due to the low temperature and weak microbial activity in winter and spring, the conversion rate of urea is very slow, and it is not possible to supply crop nitrogen nutrition in time. Ammonium bicarbonate is just the right thing in this respect; on the other hand, ammonium bicarbonate is less than urea. Urea is applied to the farmland. Before it is converted, it is mostly in the molecular state and exists in the soil. It is easy to be wet or sink into the depth of the soil with rainwater, causing loss and reducing fertilizer efficiency. The adsorption capacity of soil colloid for ammonium bicarbonate is 9.09-12.5 times that of urea; under low temperature conditions, the volatilization loss is small, and the wettability rate is also small, only about 1/3 of urea.
