New energy sources such as wind power and solar energy will continue to develop rapidly. It is expected that the installed capacity of wind power will increase by 3.06 million kilowatts in 2013, accounting for about 10% of the installed capacity of Shandong's president.

According to forecast, in 2013, Shandong's highest unified call load will still maintain a high level of operation, reaching a maximum of 57 million kilowatts, an increase of 12.47% year-on-year. On the other hand, in 2013, the province's new coal-fired generating units will have a capacity of approximately 2.38 million kilowatts, and 653,000 kilowatts will be returned for transportation.
