Under the leadership of academic leader Wang Liding, recently, the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" national 863 key project "High-precision standard gear and gear cutter manufacturing technology" undertaken by Dalian University of Technology passed the project acceptance.
The research group has overcame key technologies such as ultra-precision standard gear grinding machine design, ultra-precision gear machining technology, and benchmark-level standard gear testing, completed the refinement and transformation of standard gear grinding machine tools, and achieved an overall improvement in the precision of ultra-precision standard gears. Tested by the German Institute of Technical Physics and the China Institute of Metrology, the modular 2 and modular 4 standard gears using this technology achieve ISO 1 accuracy, and the modular 6 standard gears achieve 2 levels of accuracy.
