Anhui forced to phase out backward production capacity in seven industries such as coal

According to relevant regulations of the State Council, Anhui Province will adopt more stringent and compulsory measures to eliminate outdated production capacity in seven industries including coal, coke, steel, nonferrous metals, building materials, light industry and textiles.

The 18 industrial sectors announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology include ironmaking, steelmaking, coke, ferroalloy, calcium carbide, electrolytic aluminum, copper smelting, lead smelting, zinc smelting, cement, glass, paper, alcohol, monosodium glutamate, citric acid, tanning, printing and dyeing , chemical fiber and other industries. According to requirements, Anhui Province issued a plan to eliminate backward production capacity in 2010: 49 shaft kiln cement production lines will be eliminated during the year, and 4.468 million tons of backward production capacity; 2 outdated paper production lines will be eliminated, and lagging production capacity will be 30,000 tons; eliminated backward lead smelting furnaces. 8 units, lagging production capacity of 20,000 tons; eliminated 1 out-of-line zinc smelting muffle furnace and lagging production capacity of 20,000 tons; closed 11 pairs of small coal mines and lagging production capacity of 690,000 tons; eliminated 871 brick and kilns. In the second half of the year, according to the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, the replenishment plan of eliminating backward production capacity will be issued annually. The iron-smelting production capacity will be eliminated by 600,000 tons, and the backward printing and dyeing capacity will be eliminated by 15 million meters.

In addition, for companies (equipment) that are included in the phase-out plan, but have not phased out backward production capacity, the differential electricity price will be doubled since the cut-off date. By the end of September this year, the listed companies (equipment) will stop supplying power.
