The test results show that the self-developed valve internal leak detector can determine the internal leakage of natural gas large-diameter ball valve more quickly and accurately than imported instruments.
All-welded large-diameter ball valves are mainly used for long-distance oil and gas pipeline trunk lines, in and out stations, and receiving and sending ball cylinders. Once a fault occurs, the safety operation of the oil and gas station yard is greatly affected, and the internal leakage is always in the pipeline valve operation process. Expose the most prominent problems. The traditional valve internal leakage detection is mainly to judge the internal leakage by manually observing the valve pressure or the valve cavity venting, which is impossible to quantitatively detect and has poor timeliness.
With the help of the localization project of key equipment for oil and gas pipelines, the Pipeline Technology Research Center has successfully developed a valve internal leak detector, which can detect a valve leakage limit of 0.04 cubic meters per hour. Not only for the first time, the maximum valve size of the internal leak test has been expanded from 20 inches to 40 inches, and the detection type of the valve internal leakage has been extended from a single ball valve to a forced sealing valve, a plug valve, etc., and the valve internal leak detection has been customized.
