How to reduce the pollution of vegetables by fertilization

There are two main ways to fertilize vegetables. One is to directly pollute vegetables or soil through toxic and harmful substances contained in fertilizers, such as heavy metals, pathogenic microorganisms, and poisonous gases. The second is to apply a large amount of nitrogen fertilizer. Causes excessive accumulation of nitrate in vegetables. Therefore, the principle of using fertilizers in green vegetable production is that a sufficient amount of organic matter must be returned to the soil to maintain soil fertility and soil biological activity without adversely affecting the environment and crops (nutrition, taste and plant resistance). .

In view of the two ways of fertilizing the pollution of vegetables, the following points should be noted in fertilization:

(1) Fertilizers for green vegetables should be selected from commercial fertilizers. Commercial organic fertilizers, humic acid fertilizers, microbial fertilizers, semi-organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers containing phosphorus, potassium, calcium and sulfur should be used first.

(2) Pay attention to the following points in fertilization
1. Re-application of organic fertilizer: organic fertilizer will not cause nitrate pollution of vegetables, storage resistance, good quality. However, the organic fertilizer used for vegetables should be fully decomposed.

2. No application of nitrate nitrogen fertilizer: Improper application of nitrogen fertilizer can easily cause vegetables to accumulate nitrogen and form nitrate. In particular, the application of ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate or the like is more likely to accumulate nitrate. The application of ammonium fertilizer such as ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium sulfate and urea should be controlled, and deep application of soil can reduce the accumulation of nitrate in vegetables. The accumulation of nitrate in vegetables increased with the increase of fertilizer application. Therefore, the amount of nitrogen applied per 667m2 should be controlled within 15kg of pure nitrogen, 2/3 for base fertilizer, and 1/3 for deep application of seedling fertilizer.

3. Fertilization due to the ground: high fertility, soil rich in organic matter, nitrates easily accumulated by vegetables, should be applied or less nitrogen fertilizer. In low-fat vegetable fields, the nitrate accumulated in vegetables is lighter, and nitrogen fertilizer and organic fertilizer can be applied to fertilize soil. In general, vegetable plots, such as soil testing and fertilization, are beneficial to high yields and make it difficult for vegetables to accumulate nitrate. It is also conducive to fertilizing the soil.

4. Fertilization by seedling: The application of nitrogen fertilizer in vegetable seedling stage is better, which is beneficial to early vegetable growth, fast and long, and reduced nitrate content.

5. Fertilization due to season: high temperature in summer and autumn is not conducive to weaving nitrate, and nitrogen fertilizer can be applied in an appropriate amount. In winter and spring, the temperature is low, the light is weak, the nitrate reductase activity is decreased, and nitrate is easily accumulated. Nitrogen fertilizer should not be applied or applied.

6. The leaf vegetables are not applied with urea as foliar fertilizer, and the nitrogen fertilizer is used as the foliar fertilizer directly in contact with air. The ammonium ions are easily converted into nitrate ions and absorbed by the leaves, and the nitrate accumulation increases.
